To set the phone to silent and vibrating mode

Press the volume key down to minimum. The phone, even though silent, is in
vibrating mode. The icon appears in the status bar.

Press the volume key further one step down to turn off the vibrating mode. The icon
appears in the status bar.
Phone settings overview
You can set up the phone to suit your requirements, for example, Date & time, Wireless
& networks and Accounts & sync.
To access the phone settings

From the Home screen, drag upward.

Tap Settings.
To access the setup guide

From the Home screen, drag upward.

Tap Setup guide.
Time and date
You can change the time and date in your phone.
To set the date manually
1
From the Home screen, drag
upward.

Find and tap Settings > Date & time.

Unmark the Automatic checkbox, if it is marked.

Tap Set date.

Tap
or to adjust the date.

Tap Set.
To set the time manually

To set the time zone

From the Home screen, drag upward.

Find and tap Settings > Date & time.

Unmark the Automatic checkbox, if it is marked.

Tap Select time zone.

Select an option.
To set the hour format

From the Home screen, drag
upwards.

Find and tap Settings > Date & time > Use 24-hour format.

Mark the checkbox to shift between 12 hour and 24 hour format.
To set the date format

From the Home screen, drag upwards.

Find and tap Settings > Date & time > Select date format.
3
Select an option.
